About Our Leadership Team

Dr. Leisa Blottin is an exceptionally qualified and experienced senior minister at Bunbury City Church. Her journey in ministry started in 1973 when she became a born-again Christian. Since then, she has dedicated her life to serving the church and its community.

In 1976, Dr. Blottin took on the role of a youth leader, where she nurtured and guided young individuals in their faith journey. Recognizing her passion for connecting with people, she started a Home fellowship specifically for French-speaking individuals in 1978.

 

In 1981, Dr. Blottin moved to Bunbury and played a crucial role in pioneering the Lighthouse Family Church, which later became an AOG church. During her time there, she also served as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and an integral part of the pastoral team.

 

With a deep commitment to spreading the Gospel beyond borders, Dr. Blottin was appointed as the foreign mission field coordinator from 1981 to 1992. In this capacity, she traveled extensively throughout Europe, bringing hope and faith to diverse communities.

 

Continuing her pursuit of knowledge and growth, Dr. Blottin lectured at a Bible school in India in 1989 and taught French at the University of Bangkok. That same year, she studied for two years with the Lighthouse World Outreach Ministry Center, Inc. AOG, where she graduated with a certificate of achievement.

 

In 1990, Dr. Blottin engaged in the Walk Through the Bible ministry, focusing on developing building excellence and teaching communication skills. Additionally, she conducted a seminar on the seven laws of the learner with Lay Leadership International Asia. These experiences further enriched her ability to serve and connect with others.

 

Recognizing her dedication and leadership abilities, Dr. Blottin was ordained as a Pastor with the Assemblies of God in 1991. She took on the responsibility of women's ministry, pastoral care and missions, and also served as the director for God's Way Ministry Australia AOG. To this day, she remains registered as an advisor for this organization.

 

In 1993, Dr. Blottin worked with the Secours Populaire Francais in France as a Pastor and missionary, further expanding her global impact. In 1994, she returned to Australia and joined the Ministry team of Harbour City Church, where she assumed the role of an elder and the Pastor of the women's ministry.

 

Dr. Leisa Blottin's extensive qualifications, vast experience, and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable asset to Bunbury City Church. Her passion for serving others and spreading the message of love and faith is evident in her remarkable journey.

Greetings! It has been a great honor for both myself and my beloved wife, Bettina, to serve alongside Pastor Leisa since 1997. Throughout the years, we have engaged in various areas of ministry within the church. These include leading and participating in praise and worship, facilitating prayer meetings, delivering sermons, conducting Bible studies, organizing men's breakfasts, overseeing financial recordkeeping, and serving on the church Board and in general administration.

 

My deep love for God and His people drives my commitment to support Pastor Leisa's vision for the church. I am passionate about seeing the larger body of Christ come together in unity, love, and the sharing of their unique ministry gifts with one another. It is my heart's desire to witness every church member finding their true church home—a place where friendships are built, Jesus is faithfully served, and personal growth in the knowledge of God's Word is nurtured. I firmly believe in the importance of being led by the Spirit of God, operating in the individual gifts that He has bestowed upon each person, and actively reaching out to our community with the life-transforming message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Furthermore, I find great joy in witnessing families worshiping together. My wife and I cherish our four children, their spouses (two of whom), and our five grandchildren. They are a true blessing in our lives.

Hello there! It brings me immense joy to have served alongside my husband, Chris, under the leadership of Pastor Leisa since 1997. My passion lies in providing practical assistance to people and wholeheartedly supporting both Pastor Leisa and the church in any way I can.

 

Within the church, I am actively involved in women's ministry and serve as a member of the praise and worship team. Additionally, I find great fulfillment in contributing to the administrative aspects of the church, such as maintaining electronic song files and organizing gatherings that foster social interaction among the church family. I have a deep desire to bring joy and love into the lives of those around me, particularly supporting and uplifting the mothers and their families within our congregation.
